With over 25 years of distinguished experience in technology, and sales leadership at renowned organizations such as Lenovo and Reliance, he observed firsthand the challenges faced by Indian enterprises due to outdated and inefficient procurement systems. He observed how many Indian businesses were still entrenched in manual procurement systems, while global counterparts—especially in China—had long transitioned to smart, data-driven solutions. This gap struck a chord. What started as a growing concern gradually crystallized into a strong entrepreneurial conviction. In a bold and purpose-driven move, Vikas made the decision to step away from a high-profile MNC role to tackle what he refers to as “a broken system”—the outdated, fragmented world of procurement.
In December 2023, this vision took shape with the founding of ProcUrPal, an AI-driven SaaS platform headquartered in Bangalore, built to streamline and simplify enterprise procurement, especially for India’s thriving community of small and mid-sized businesses.
The transition from corporate leadership to startup entrepreneurship was anything but easy. With no external funding during its early stages, ProcUrPal was entirely bootstrapped for nearly a year. During this time, Vikas wore many hats—from CEO to product strategist to sales lead—while his parallel venture, BrandBlaze Digital, played a key role in shaping ProcUrPal’s go-to-market and marketing strategies.
After an intense year of R&D, customer feedback loops, and platform refinement, ProcUrPal officially launched in February 2025. Within a short span, it has already onboarded 10+ enterprise clients and is backed by a robust network of 9.5 lakh+ suppliers.
